OVERVIEW
Switzerland’s breathtaking landscapes served as the backdrop for some of the most romantic moments in Crash Landing on You (CLOY). Most of these locations are concentrated in the Bernese Oberland (Interlaken region) and Zurich.
Experience the ultimate K-drama pilgrimage with this 7-day itinerary through Switzerland. This route focuses on the Bernese Oberland and Zurich regions, where the most iconic scenes between Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri were filmed.
Day 01: ARRIVE ZURICH – MONTREUX
MONTREUX
Coach transfer to Montreux from Zurich Airport (around 2.5 h). Free time at leisure to stroll through Montreux. Overnight in Montreux area.
Day 02: MONTREUX
After breakfast at the hotel, visit of the water castle Chateau de Chillon. Coach transfer to the medieval town of Gruyeres to stroll around (around 45min). Short drive and visit to the Cailler Chocolate factory in Broc. Drive to Berne (around 1h). Free time at leisure. Overnight in Berne.
Day 03: MONTREUX – INTERLAKEN
After breakfast at the hotel, coach transfer to Interlaken (around 45 minutes) with a stop to explore the area, the suspension bridge in Sigriswil, where you walk across the 340-meter-long suspension bridge, which offers magnificent views of the famous Bernese Oberland and Lake Thun. This is the bridge where Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri’s paths crossed for the first time. Possible optional self-guided excursion to Jungfraujoch via Kleine Scheidegg, like Jeong-hyeok, Seo Dan, and Se-ri did. We recommend a stop at Kleine Scheidegg to have a look at the location of the scene where Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri had run into each other in the past. From Kleine Scheidegg, you continue your journey up to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe, being the highest train station in Europe (3,454 m). The building in the movie scene is the Sphinx Observatory, one of the highest observatories worldwide. Option to visit the Ice Palace. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 04: INTERLAKEN - LUCERNE
Scenic coach transfer through the Bernese Oberland with stops along Lake Brienz - at the idyllic village of Iseltwald. In Iseltwald, look for the lake landing where Jeong-hyeok played the song on the piano he had composed for his brother. Drive to the stunning Grandhotel Giessbach – the fictional music school where Joeng-hyeok was studying. From Giessbach take an optional cruise on Lake Brienz just like Se-ri did. Drive to Lucerne (around 1h). Free time at leisure for sightseeing and shopping in Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.
Day 05: LUCERNE – ZURICH
Guided walking tour in Lucerne. 1 hour cruise on Lake Lucerne. Mid-afternoon coach transfer to Zurich (1 h). Overnight in Zurich.
Day 06: ZURICH
Guided walking tour in Zurich and walk across Münsterbrücke, a pedestrian bridge over the river Limmat. This is where Se-ri was looking for Jeong-hyeok each time she was in Switzerland after she had received his message suggesting to meet there. From the bridge a stroll takes you to close-by Lindenhof. In one of the show’s scenes Se-ri heard someone play the piano when she was at the Lindenhof fountain. Enjoy the peaceful setting and views of Zurich’s old town and the river bank Limmat. Free time at leisure to stroll through Zurich. Overnight in Zurich.
Day 07: DEPART ZURICH
Coach transfer to ZRH Airport from the hotel
